Rebecca and I emptied out our dead terracotta planter pots, replaced them with plastic lookalikes, and seeded them with lavender.
Madeline and Rebecca cleared and planted a flowerbed in the front yard.
Rebecca cleared another bed while I made scones in the kitchen, and then the girls planted peas. Pea distribution was less than ideal, but I think I'll cope.
I rounded up the kids when they were done with their schoolwork and we spent the last bit of the morning running errands. Wal*Mart for a lamp for Madeline and headphones for everyone; the bank for me to deposit checks; then Panera, for lemonades and bagels to take to the park.
The kids played at Signal Hill Park for an hour; on our way there, we passed Matthew on his motorcycle on his way out to a tag. He met us later at the park for lemonade.
We watched Avatar. Marcus pointed out plot holes. Rebecca and Madeline were totally suckered in.
I took 贝贝 (Rebecca) to her Mandarin lesson. She's making steady progress, and will be taking more lessons over the summer. Her teacher is studying Accounting at NVCC, and I am eternally grateful that she's willing to work with 贝贝 every week.
I had actual leftovers available in the refrigerator so that it was a simple matter of reheating lamb pilaf before running out the door to yoga.
I ordered my Adobe CS4 upgrade. I am not sure if it falls into the "post-announce upgrade policy for single-user products" window, but my CS1 is so far out of date that it is totally worthless on Snow Leopard. Must stay on upgrade path!
I placed my second order with Holy Cow Delivery for milk! Delivered! To my front door! (Marcus totally loves the name--it tickles his funny bone.)
