My very first plugin in the WordPress Plugin Directory. (Granted, it deals with a very specific behavior that a tiny subset of users will actually experience, but I had to start somewhere.)
I am totally thrilled with NOVEC, our electric company. Our power went out around midnight last night. I called it into their automated outage reporting system and went to bed. At 2:30 am, the lights came back on and my phone rang with their (opt-in) repair status notification.
